Hello world, I'm back! Hehe. Sorry if I haven't been blogging lately. ;( Quick life update! After styling the movie James & Pat & Dave, I got busy working on other styling projects including the new film "Four Sisters Before the Wedding". Had no time to blog or post often on social media. But now, with this newly imposed Covid-19 lockdown, I think I'll have enough time to work on my backlogs! Meaning, more travel guides and a few personal posts in between. Speaking of which, ito na! I received a lot of messages asking me to post a detailed guide about my recent 17-day India trip. To be honest, the trip wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for my bestfriend Cecille who invited me to her Indian wedding. We've been friends forever so I wouldn't miss it for the world. It was also the perfect opportunity to fulfill Nico's lifelong dream to visit India and eat authentic Indian food! I blame it on his Bollywood obsession. Haha. Last month, me and a few Bloggers United bloggers/vloggers/influencers visited Korean-inspired store ILAHUI's biggest branch at UPTown Mall BGC! I am already familiar with the brand because I am a loyal customer of their Alimall, Cubao branch which is just a few minutes walk/ride from my apartment. I love novelty shops and everything Korean, so I always get drawn inside the store even if I really have no intention of shopping. And I always, ALWAYS leave with 1-2 bags in tow! I honestly thought that my Korea trip last November would be my last travel last 2017. I was ready to rest my itchy feet & wandering soul and just eagerly wait for January to come (Asia trip! woots) when I suddenly got a message from Cebu Pacific asking me if I want to be part of their very first direct flight from Manila to Siargao. A few days before I got the invite, Nico and I randomly talked about our plans to visit the island. We even agreed to book a flight early next year. Destiny na to! So I asked Nico to go with me since it was not a media trip and we've been talking about how much we wanted to go there together. It was both our first time! The MNL-Siargao maiden flight was December 17, a few days before Christmas and during one of the busiest time of the year. But after thinking about it for about 5 minutes, I said yes. Hello guys! So here's the 2nd installment of our Bali trip a few weeks ago. I already shared with you photos and stories from our first day in the island, as well as pre-planning tips and budget. On our 2nd day we headed north in a van we rented via Klook to explore Bali's cultural center, UBUD. We left the house almost 2 hours later than scheduled and spent almost 3 hours at our 1st stop (stories below) so we had to skip a lot of places like the Kanto Lampo waterfalls, Tukad Cepung, Tirta Empul water temple, etc. Next time, I promise! Hi beshies! I'm back! Grabeeee, so much happened this month, it was like being stuck in a black & white movie. I wouldn't delve deep into the details but it was a whirlwind (more of a hurricane, really) of everything. I spent most of my time with family and close friends just to be able to deal. Now the smoke from the past 3 weeks is finally clearing out and I am feeling more motivated and inspired to go back to how my life was before. In this super fast paced world, it's okay to take a break once in a while. Sometimes, taking a breather does not require a few hours flight or a few hours drive. Anyone could do some R&R within the metro! Two weeks ago, Nico and I spent our weekend in B Hotel, a 3-star hotel located in the heart of Alabang. We were also given access to their "mother", grander & bigger hotel, Bellevue. I already reviewed their Q.C. branch which was their newest venture and I had nothing but praises for it, so I expected nothing less from their 2 other hotels. The ones in Alabang are more business-y, classy & classic. It was such an awesome experience and MORE. I didn't want to leave. Haha. Here are photos!
It's the day after my birthday! I want to say thank you to everyone who remembered and greeted me yesterday. I feel all your love and I love you back tenfold. :) It was my birthday yesterday, meaning it has been a year after my birthday trip around Asia. Meaning, tapusin ko na sana my posts haha. I promise, before this week ends! Anyway, I am already on my last stop -- the beautiful country of Malaysia! From Yangon, we took a flight going to Kuala Lumpur. Not sure if you've read my Bagan Temple Tour post (whyyy, you must read it guys, wahaha), but this is the last installment! Our scheduled bus trip to Yangon was leaving at 8pm, so we had a few hours to spare. We decided to spend them driving around, discovering new temples, chilling and watching our last Bagan sunset on top of Shwesandaw Pagoda. I could honestly say that this was one of the best trips I have ever done and one of the best places I have ever seen. The whole place and the whole experience was so unique, so different and I could not wait to see it's magnificence again. Photos and stories below...
Grabeeeee, I am so excited to share with you this quick yet super meaningful DIY trip! The Talisayin Cove group wanted one last beach getaway before the rainy season starts, and we all agreed to go someplace not all people know-- ALIBIJABAN Island in Quezon Province! In the end, only Nico and I pushed through (you missed a lot guys! Haha) and I am so happy we did. It was truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I did some research before going there because it was our first time and I can only count in one hand people I know who've been to the island. Thanks to my loves Cha Ocampo & Jean Dalida for giving me tips and answering my questions haha. I learned a lot from this blog post but there were still a few things we discovered on our own. I will try my best to cover all bases and make this post as detailed as possible. So, let's go? :)
This is it! The moment we've all been waiting for! Well, inassume ko lang naman yun. Haha. Well, for me, this is the post I am most excited to share with all of you. Everything still feels so surreal. Dati, I only admire Bagan from afar (as in from a computer/cellphone screen), can't believe I already experienced its magic first hand! There's just so much see, so much to unearth. It's rawness is so beautiful. The best thing was not knowing what to expect.
