Safe & Conscious Travel in the New Normal + Places I Want to Visit

We're only 2 months away from the new year! Can you believe it?! I swear it seems like it was only yesterday when we're ringing in the year 2020 on the street, giving a toast (online and offline) complete with resolutions & aspirations, sharing a laugh over drinks with friends & family, watching fireworks, yet utterly clueless about the devastation it will bring to our lives and the world. A few months in and overnight all of our lives turned upside down. I admit, it took a while for me to finally accept the reality that things will never be the same again. I even shed a few tears whenever I think of all the things I took for granted like crowded places (which I hate so much), dining in a resto, casual strolls, commuting, social interactions, hugs & kisses, gatherings, blog events, work, shopping without having to disinfect everything every time (such a hassle huhu), going to the movies, and I could go on and on but truly one of the things I miss so much is traveling. (insert crying face emoji) We're nowhere near this outbreak's finish line but things are slowly getting back to "regular programming" with new routines and protocols in place. For weeks now, Nico and I have been discussing where we could possibly go that's nice (a beach, lake, mountain, etc) yet safe and budget friendly. In BTS Army's words, we badly need to go "Namjooning" (take time out to relax, think and commune with nature) just to recharge & decompress. Here are a few places we want to visit, as well as some safety tips...

I miss you Siquijor ;)

India 2020: Pre-Trip Planning, Budget + First Night in New Delhi

Hello world, I'm back! Hehe. Sorry if I haven't been blogging lately. ;( Quick life update! After styling the movie James & Pat & Dave, I got busy working on other styling projects including the new film "Four Sisters Before the Wedding". Had no time to blog or post often on social media. But now, with this newly imposed Covid-19 lockdown, I think I'll have enough time to work on my backlogs! Meaning, more travel guides and a few personal posts in between. Speaking of which, ito na! I received a lot of messages asking me to post a detailed guide about my recent 17-day India trip. To be honest, the trip wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for my bestfriend Cecille who invited me to her Indian wedding. We've been friends forever so I wouldn't miss it for the world. It was also the perfect opportunity to fulfill Nico's lifelong dream to visit India and eat authentic Indian food! I blame it on his Bollywood obsession. Haha. So anyway, we decided to hit two birds with one stone, attend the wedding and do the Golden Triangle tour after. We also did a sidetrip trip to Penang, Malaysia which has been on our bucket list since forever, too. Let me share with you the preparations we did, as well as booking tips! Read on...

Taiwan Diaries 2016, Day 4: Taipei 101, Tiger Mountain and Going Home

Finally, here's the last installment of our Taiwan 2016 adventure! I feel a little sad (as always) whenever I finish blogging about a trip because it feels like I'm closing a chapter in my life. Waw deep. Haha. But I also feel a little excited because I get to start again-- new pages for new adventures! Anyway, on our last day in Taipei, we visited the 8th tallest building in the world, Taipei 101. Back in 2004 up to 2009, it was classified as the world's tallest building. WOOOW. We also tried to view it from the top of a mountain. Stories and photos below...
