Review: LUX Soft Touch Body Wash & Soap + Giveaway!

I am usually very cautious whenever I use different soaps or body wash because of my forever skin allergy. I was hesitant to try LUX at first because my skin usually goes ballistic over scented anything-- soaps, perfume, lotion, etc. But to my surprise, it was a pretty smooth (literally & figuratively) & delightful experience. I just came back from a 2-day camping trip with cousins & friends at Talisayin Cove in San Antonio, Zambales and it was quite epic. Our original plan was to go to Burot, Calatagan but had to change plans at the last minute. As in the day before our trip. Haha. I mostly do the planning and handle logistics (and I loveee it) pag may outing or excursion (they are 2 different things according to my cousin RJ haha), so coming up with a Plan B in less than 24 hours was mejo stressful yet exciting. Got My Hair Colored by Vivere Salon + Promo

I've been coloring my hair since forever. I don't know why, but I find my super black hair boring. Sorry na. Maybe one day I'll learn to appreciate it. But for now, I'm okay with colored hair! Choosing a hair color could be quite a challenge, especially for morenas like me. I don't really veer away from reds. It's my tried and tested shade. I have tried ash blonde and another color that is more yellowish brown (basta yun! haha), but I always comes back to red. Two weeks ago, I had my hair colored again at VIVERE Salon and I loved the result!

The Henry Hotel Manila: My Family's Unique Staycation

Last Holy Week, instead of leaving town, my family and I spent the weekend (Black Saturday & Easter Sunday) at The Henry Hotel Manila. My Dad originally chose Sulo Hotel and my Mom wanted to stay in Marco Polo, but since we don't do this often I thought why not try something different and memorable if we were to stay for 2 days and 1 night lang. So, I proposed if we could just book The Henry Hotel in Manila. I've been there before (Silka event) and I LOVED the place. You know me! I love anything vintage or rustic. So I was immediately sold. I sent them the link and some photos and they all agreed. I thought this was the perfect time to experience the place. It was the best place to bond with the family and also do some personal reflections. Here are our photos from that wonderful weekend starting with my OOTD that day!

Happy 75th Anniversary Philippines Airlines!

I have a long history with Philippine Airlines. It has always been my family's airline of choice ever since I was old enough to walk and fly. When I was young, I always look forward to summer vacations because that would mean seeing our grandparents, cousins & friends in Negros and also going back to our ancestral house. My Lolo would always buy our tickets from PAL. Only the best & the safest for his favorite apo (yes, ako lang baket haha)! After my Lolo died, our flight to Negros became less frequent but PAL would always remind me of the amazing memories we built over the years. It would always remind me of my Lolo, Papa Turing. How his face lights up upon seeing our faces paglabas palang ng airport. How I would excitedly run to him and hug him and then tell him how school and life in Manila was. We would play cards at their house and he would annoy me to death with his pranks. He was my partner in crime & my favorite person in the whole world. Okay, now I feel like crying haha!  Anyway, this airline has brought our family together in so many occasions through all these years. It was a joy to be part of their 75th anniversary celebration! Merrell's Getaway to Adventure Campaign + New Collection

I am not a huge fan of fitness anything (gym, yoga, etc), but I do love the great outdoors! In college (and until now), I was a member of UST Mountaineering Club (after going through tests & deliberations as an applicant-- for a year!) and it was truly one of the highlights of my life. I was able to climb and conquer numerous places & mountains such as Batulao, Tapulao, Makiling, Malasimbo, Daguldol, Pinatubo etc. I have met amazing people who are still my friends until now. It has been years since my last "official" climb but my love for the mountains never waned. Because of this, I've always been in the lookout for nice and comfortable outdoor shoes that is both stylish & functional. One word that stuck with me? TRACTION! Until now, it's one of my deciding factors when buying shoes. One brand that's quite popular in the "mountaineering" circle is Merrell. I've always wanted a pair, ever since I started climbing, but I didn't have enough money back then. Fast forward to now, I'm still a huge fan of the brand. That's why when they invited me to the launch of their new collection + an exciting new partnership with DOT, I immediately said yes. I just couldn't wait to see the new line they are launching.
