The Henry Hotel Manila: My Family's Unique Staycation

Last Holy Week, instead of leaving town, my family and I spent the weekend (Black Saturday & Easter Sunday) at The Henry Hotel Manila. My Dad originally chose Sulo Hotel and my Mom wanted to stay in Marco Polo, but since we don't do this often I thought why not try something different and memorable if we were to stay for 2 days and 1 night lang. So, I proposed if we could just book The Henry Hotel in Manila. I've been there before (Silka event) and I LOVED the place. You know me! I love anything vintage or rustic. So I was immediately sold. I sent them the link and some photos and they all agreed. I thought this was the perfect time to experience the place. It was the best place to bond with the family and also do some personal reflections. Here are our photos from that wonderful weekend starting with my OOTD that day!

Freeway dress, Fly shades, Veloci watch, S&H sandals

So in love with this dress!!! Bagay na bagay sa The Henry db?

Entrance to the Main house. Art deco for the win!

Driveway. The museum & furniture shops are straight ahead.

My sister and bro-in-law arrived earlier than us, so they took care of our check-ins. Booked my sister the day before lang (they were supposed to go to Subic but their trip didn't push through), so their room was in a different house. It's alright though.

Let's go na to our rooms!

Super secured! This gate can't be opened without an access card. ;)

Hallway and stairs going to our rooms

Can I just say, I love the wholeee place! I love the style, the tiles, the structure, the style, the vibe. It's soooo me. I could stay here forever. Pwede? Joke wala akong pera. Haha!

Anyway... room tour! We booked 3 Classic rooms w/o breakfast for P3800+ each via Shopback & Agoda. Normal rate is P6600 with breakfast for 2. I used Shopback because for every P2500 booking, you get P500 back! :)

After settling in and resting for a bit, we decided to change into our swimming attires and headed straight to the pool! I, of course, forced Nico to take my OOTD photos first. Haha. Sorry naman powzzz.

The hotel was fully booked but I guess most of the guests just wanted to rest and enjoy their rooms. Pabor! Hehe.

Got the pool to ourselves! Happy!

What a nice quote and reminder. Perfect din sa Holy Week. :)

Uy, sunset. Hahaha.

Okay, may 1 pc of person na nainitan and nagswim din.

My parents bonding. Lakas maka Jadine!

I can stay here foreverrrr.

Can't believe this is just in Manila. So peaceful here. :)

OMG naman guys ang jejemon niyo. Haha.

We returned to our rooms at around 6pm, took a bath and met up again for dinner. It was BBQ + Movie night that night but upon seeing the prices, we just decided to eat out. Good thing na din because I was finally able to satisfy my seafood cravings! Yipeee!

The Henry BBQ menu:)

 Set-up

Dampa sa Pasay was just less than 10 mins away from The Henry!!!

Chose Aling Tonya's because it's also our favorite seafood place at Dampa Ortigas!

 Our table

My sister and Nico had to buy raw seafood first from the wet market before having it cooked at Aling Tonya's. They spent P3k+ for the seafood and then P2k for the paluto. We paid P700 each but it  was worth it! We had take out pa which we ate for lunch the next day. Hihi.

 1/4 of our order! YUMMMM.

The family that pigs out together, stays fat together

After dinner, I fell asleep agad! The rest of the family (all of them minus me haha) bonded pa over beer and coffee. Ako lang MIA! Grabe maka Tita hits. Sorry na! Was just making bawi because as you all know, minsan lang ako matulog. Haha.

The next day...

They allowed us to check out at around 1pm, so we had more time to sleep and fix our things. I took a few more OOTD photos (which Nico disliked so much haha) before we all decided to take a peek see at the furniture exhibit and museum!

 Free banig for picnics

I will miss you beautiful pool

Uy! Aisa Apac? Hehe. This is a nice place for an IG photo db?

 Sabi ko try nia. Hehehe

Sabi ko din try nia this wall for IG. Hehe.

Leaving was truly bittersweet! Wish we could have stayed longer. My family really enjoyed our stay here. The place was amazing, the rooms are well-designed, cozy & clean, service was impeccable, staff were helpful & courteous and the pool area (best place to unwind and relax) was truly a winner. They also have a restaurant inside and I heard they serve good food. The Henry Hotel is truly an oasis in the midst of the city! Your home away from home. Who would have thought 'di ba na a gem like this exists in the Metro. Can't wait to be back! :)
