Jakarta, Indonesia Day 1: Flying there, Where to Stay and Road to D-Day!

You already know how big of a BTS army I am, so getting to experience their Yet To Come concert in Busan (even if we're team labas) in October of last year was a dream come true. After that, we didn't expect another concert/tour soon (after their group hiatus announcement) but then my love Suga surprised us all with a solo tour! He's my ultimate bias so I was really desperate to watch. We already know ticketing would be HELL (more so since he chose smaller venues) so I prayed so hard hoping I'd be able to get a ticket. So thankful for my roomie and ka Sugababe Ruthie who fought during the Jakarta ticket selling! Oh, the relief & joy I felt when I found out she was able to secure tickets. Huhu. Ana was also able to buy from a friend of a friend. So with that out of the way, next thing we did was plan our trip and book flights and accommodations! Read on to know more...

One of them was an invite I got from Trazy.com to come and join their 2-day Nonsan & Yesan tour from Seoul, of course I immediately said yes! I've known Trazy for years now (it's Korea's top travel booking site) so I was super excited to finally be able to join one of their amazingly curated tours. Kadayawan sa Davao, Day 2: Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan, Kadayawan Tribal Village & Bantawan Cultural Presentations

Hello, I'm back! Sorry for the delay, a lot happened and my focus shifted to other things. Huhu, sorry about that. But finally, here's the 2nd installment of my Kadayawan sa Davao posts As mentioned in my first post, Cebu Pacific flew travel bloggers & online journalists to the wonderful city of Davao to experience and witness the 37th Kadayawan Festival. It was my first time there so I was super excited. It was also interesting & fascinating to learn more about the 11 different ethnolinguistic tribes of Davao -- their culture, history, heritage, and way of life. Read on to know more...

Kadayawan sa Davao, Day 1 Itinerary: Arrival, Where to Stay, City Tour & Dula sa Kadayawan

I've never been to Davao, and Nico & I have always talked about going there, so when I got invited by Cebu Pacific to cover the Kadayawan Festival 3 weeks ago, I said yes in a heartbeat! It's the anticipation & excitement of visiting a new place and I'm so lucky that on my first time, I was able to visit a lot of places & learned a lot about the history, culture & people of the "Durian Capital of the Philippines". It was also the first time since the pandemic started, that they're doing an offline festival/celebration! Photos & stories below...

My first ever  Coron, Palawan trip was last December with DOT Mimaropa and it was an amazing experience, didn't think I'd go back soon-- this time for TAG RESORT Coron! Points on the Road, Miles on the Skies with Pilipinas Shell x Philippine Airlines

My ultimate goal in life is to travel and explore as many places as possible in this lifetime. Seeing old and new places, meeting new people, trying different cuisines, and getting immersed in local culture gives me a natural high that nothing else ever can. Seeing the majestic Angkor Wat for the first time, living in Boracay for a short while and seeing its beautiful sunset everyday, eating fresh sushi at Tsukiji market in Japan, reliving my favorite K-drama scenes in Korea, drinking hot tea at Jiufen, Taiwan, and many more make my heart skip a beat and my soul feeling full. Something as simple as road trips are included too! A relaxing ride to Tagaytay for lunch and coffee, listening to my favorite songs while cruising on the freeway (aka NLEX or SLEX haha), and then making a stopover along the way to stretch and eat! My favorite would always be our SHELL stopovers because of the wide variety of items at Shell Select and the food selections.

Speaking of which, did you know that being on the road can also take you to the skies? You can earn Shell Go+ points every time you gas-up, purchase lubricants, or buy any products in Shell Select and convert into Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles!

Love Local, #LoveLaguna: History, Culture, Food, Arts & Shopping!

Laguna is that beautiful place that everyone knows about but is often overlooked & taken for granted-- myself included. I have been there plenty of times but for work, errands, events, or just to visit Enchanted Kingdom & Nuvali. Maybe because it seems to be as urban as nearby Manila so people don't prioritize it when planning their vacation. To be honest, I didn't know there are so much to see and do in Laguna, so our immersive overnight excursion to the province was an eye-opener & truly an experience I won't ever forget! Let me show you why you should add Laguna to your list of places to visit when planning a vacation or a weekend getaway.  Read on to know more...

India 2020: Jaipur 2-Day Travel Guide

After a year, here's the 4th installment of our epic Indian 2020 adventure! From Agra, we travelled for 4-5 hours going to Jaipur. On the way, we stopped and toured inside Fatehpur Sikri, ate lunch and made a quick visit at Chand Baori, a stepwell located in Abhaneri village in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Before our trip, I already messaged Indian Holiday if they could include the stepwell in our tour schedule and they nicely accommodated my request. Originally, wala talaga sha because it's a bit out of the way. In return, I asked them to remove the elephant ride at Amber Fort in our package. Win-win! So tara, join me as I relive our amazing Jaipur trip...

Kyoto 2019 Part 1: Fushimi Inari, Gion & Garaku Guest Inn

Hello again blog friends! It's the last day of the year and I told myself I just have to publish one post before this year ends. This article is long overdue, I know, sorry. Huhu.  To be completely honest, writing a detailed travel guide could really be time consuming so it sometimes end up sitting in my drafts folder especially when I get distracted with other important matters. I was more active on social media these past months, but for the next year/decade, I promise I will work on more articles and also more videos!!!

So anyway sa mga matagal ng nagaabang (sorry na talaga hehe), here's the continuation of my 10-day DIY Japan adventure last July! Finally. Haha. I've already shared with you our itinerary, tips and budget for Nagoya, so now we move on to my favorite city in Japan --- KYOTO!!! Read on to know all the reasons why...

Taiwan Solo Trip 2019 Day 5 & 6: Jiufen, Shifen & Yehliu Tour + We Come Hostel + Ningxia Night Market

Since I'm feeling inspired 'coz of my new laptop (sorry na ansaya ko lng talaga haha), here's the 3rd installment of my Taiwan solo trip last March! On the 5th day, went out of the city through an organized tour which I booked via Klook. :) This time I didn't DIY because the places I wanted to see were far from each other, so for convenience I joined a group tour. If Jiufen and Shifen lang, it's easy to just DIY and commute going there (did it before), but for this trip I included Yehliu and Yin Yang Sea. Super worth it! Here are photos and stories...

Taiwan Solo Trip 2019 Day 3 & 4: Check Inn Hotel, Xingtian Temple, Huashan 1914 Park & Wufenpu Market

Finally, another travel post! Actually, I haven't blogged for quite some time because my laptop kept hanging and nakakawalang gana sa totoo lang. So I finally bought a new 2nd hand one during our Japan trip! Yey! This time I finally took the plunge (stuck with windows for so long hihi) and bought an 11" Macbook air. So far so good! Hope this lasts for years na please lang. Haha. Nico kept teasing me that I keep on delaying my posts so here I am trying to prove him wrong. Lelz. To recap, I went on a 10-day solo Taiwan adventure last March and this is the 2nd installment! On my 3rd and 4th day, I transferred to a new accommodation and just took my time exploring the city. No tours yet! Read on to know where I went and what I did...
