A Taste of Home in the City: Why Pork Barrel Grill & Restaurant is QC’s Go-To Dining Spot

For 27 years, Pork Barrel Grill & Restaurant has been a staple in Quezon City, serving mouthwatering Filipino dishes with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Located at 92 Kalayaan Avenue, Brgy. Central Diliman, QC, this cozy restaurant brings the barrio vibe into the bustling city, making it the perfect place to enjoy affordable, delicious food and excellent company. 

Last Thursday, I visited their Kalayaan branch with some blog friends to try their mouthwatering dishes. Being there felt so nostalgic, as I remember how we used to frequent their Timog branch! Miss those good old times. :)

They're also open for lunch!!! They're actually open from 10am until 2am. Wow!

New Chill Spot in QC: 5YNCO BAR

I just might have found my new favorite place to chill at and it's just located within a few minutes drive from our turf, Cubao. Here's what happened. A few weeks ago, the gang (meaning childhood friends and cousins) decided not to do gutter hits, which is you know, our usual. Hehe. There are days when we feel like going someplace else where we can drink, listen to good music, exchange stories and dress up a little. In short, change of scenery din minsan. Yes, we see each other every week if not everyday, and yes we're clingy like that. Haha. Anyway! Our default go-to place has always been El Chupacabra in Makati but that time I was not in the mood to wait in line for an hour or two before being seated. I've always wanted to make tambay in a place similar to Finder's Keepers but close to home and more chill and relaxed. 

And then I remembered that my friend Rech (a longtime friend from FIP Styling Class) invited me a few weeks ago to visit her new bar and resto in Timog named 5ynco. So I texted her if they have beer (since we are all beer drinkers), asked her the price per bottle, she invited me to drop by that night and the rest is history!!! Australian Restaurant Bondi & Bourke Opens in BGC

Two weeks ago I was invited to an exclusive food tasting session at Bondi & Bourke's newest branch in Forbestown BGC. It's a new, fancy Australian restaurant serving straightforward, comfort food exclusively curated by multi-awarded chef and owner, Wade Watson. I seldom go to morning events, but for this I made an exception. I just couldn't wait to try the different dishes prepared by Chef Wade himself! Here are photos from the event...

Shakey's Corned Beef Crrrunch Pizza is Here!

I just can't contain my happiness over the marriage of 2 foods that I love-- corned beef & pizza! Thank you pizza gods, thank you Shakey's! It's like winning the lottery because it's also thin crust (my fave), crunchy from all the shoestring potatoes scattered on top, sweet coz of the caramelized onion & a little soft & salty from the bits of cheese. Food Trip: Four Seasons Buffet & Hotpot in Cubao

When I got invited to try out and dine in the newest hot spot in Cubao (my town yeeeah), I immediately said yes! I could never say no to great food. Anyway, this new food haven would easily be the new favorite of soup addicts, and food addicts in general, because of their amazing hotpot and buffet selection. Ladies and gents, say hello to Four Seasons!
