Weapons of Mass Seduction: Browhaus Makeup Line Launch

When it comes to perfecting or maintaining eyebrows, Browhaus has always been the go-to brand or place for bloggers. So when they invited us to the launch of their newest venture, we flocked the place like moths to a flame! I'm so excited to share with you guys Weapons of Mass Seduction -- Browhaus' new makeup range/line!!! And you are gonna love it. Why? Read on!

Who stole my Christmas?

I'm really starting to hate the holidays due to the unbearable traffic and hellishly greedy cab drivers!!! Argh, so frustrating. If I have a choice I would just lock myself in our apartment and stay there til the holidays are over. But I sadly can't. So I had to brave the streets and just give in to the waiting time and the whims of these %$@&& drivers.

Last Saturday, I went to Qiwellness spa for their Asian Secrets lulur body scrub launch. I was invited by Liz (thanks Liz!) and I just can't say no to free pampering! I had to reschedule it though coz I wanted to take Mich with me (since she's the spa addict). I saw some blogger friends though! Hi Liz, Shen and Alex! :)

Got to take home a gift pack from Asian Secrets and a spa voucher which I'll be using on Wednesday so watch out for my spa post soon! Excited. :)

Come Sunday, I got a visit from my sister. She just came from a trial bridal make-up from Salon Republic. I didn't really like her make-up that much coz it was--for me--too dark.  I suggested she buy and use a lighter shade of lipstick instead. So we went to the nearest mall (hello SM Cubao!) and searched for the perfect shade and brand. Here's her before photo..

And here's her (I think) improved make-up after buying a nude pink lipstick from Revlon...

I also bought a super red lipstick from Revlon to try and stop my excessive lip peeling vice.

I also got my much needed Inasal fix at Bacolod Chicken House. The closest I could ever get to the original Bacolod Inasal. Yum.

Where you at???

I've been super duper MIA. Sorry. I'm still having a hard time adjusting to my new schedule and weekly tasks. Since I left Branders,I hardly get enough sleep. I'm so busy with work, buying merchandise, taking pictures of it and busy with my new hobby---the art of make-up! Been watching a lot of youtube tutorials lately and it really inspired me to try and do it myself. I purchased a new brush set and I was excited to finally get my ebay orders last weekend!!!

Here's my new loot:


Sorry if the photo sucks. Heee. Anyhow, this is the summary of what I bought:

1.) Ellana make-up primer - works wonders! It serves as a primer and make-up remover. Thanks Aimee Tan!:)
2.) Mac matte foundation & powder - I use it to set my make-up after liquid foundation and concealer. I love it!
3.) Covergirl Trublend Whipped Foundation in Classic tan - looks chocolatey but when applied it feels silky smooth and just blends with any skintone.
4.) Chanel quad eyeshadow in beiges - I love the color of this palette. Just perfect for summer.
5.) Giorgio Armani set - it has 10 eyeshadow colors, 3 lipgloss and 2 blushes. Again it's mostly beige, browns and blacks.
6.) MAC blushes - in 04 and 08 (shade is pink and peach)
7.) Styli-style flat eyeliner pencil
8.) Ultima II lipstick in Poppy Red - shade is maroonish red
9.) Wet & Wild Innocent Pink Shine- shade is subtle pink

I've been experimenting with my new buys for days now. And I think I'm getting better everyday! :) Well, I guess I am or why would my sister volunteer herself for me to do her make-up on her wedding day right? Haha! At least she can cross that off her expenditure list. :P

I have just started with my make-up obsession. I still have lots in my mind that I want to buy. But I'm saving up for this---



They are very much like the Coastal Scents palettes. I was told that they perform just the same. And they're very pigmented. So there, I'm sold. :) I promise Mich, after I get this I'm done splurging on make-ups.

AND I found an effective and inexpensive way to clean our make-up brushes. Extra virgin olive oil + dishwashing liquid + glass + dry your brushes upside down = clean & soft brushes! Thanks Michelle Phan! :)

Happy Color Plate

I attended a party last Saturday. Few hours before that I realized I don't have any eye make-up (regular staples in my kikay kit are my my concealer, powder and lip/cheek tint). So since I'm now living near SM-Cubao I bought this:

Fashion 21 eye color palette (just for P370 with free lip liner/lipstick), ELF sunkissed bronzer and HBC body scrub (I love their body scrub coz it has tons of beads for exfoliation!)

I also had an eyelash extension by Lavish Lashes (Megamall branch). And can I just say--my new lashes look fab! Goodbye eyelash curler and mascara. More deets & photos on my next post! :)
