Rite of Passage

I've never been this alive and excited in my life. I still can't believe I quit my mundane 9-5 (in my case 3-11am) job 5 months ago to pursue my passions--Archive and styling (and yes, blogging!). And I've never been happier and fulfilled. I know I still have a long way to go but I'd gladly tread the path, if it meant living my dream one day at a time. And if I fail, I'd still be thankful that I still got the chance to try and make it right. :)

ARCHIVE's improving I must say. I'm now over my sabbatical (as kookie puts it) notion. I now nurture it, as if my life depends on it (well  it kinda does haha). I have a lot of bazaars lined up! I'm really glad I took the plunge and joined Port 88. It was such an amazing experience and I learned a lot from it. It also opened a lot of doors and windows (hehe) for me and the store. I now have the perfect drive and determination to follow through. I'll be announcing the schedules when it's near. :)

Anyway, my blazer collection is nearly sold out! Thanks to everyone who supported and bought. I was also contacted by one of my favorite online brands asking me if I'd like to style for them. Of course, I said yes! :) Excited. Will give you details-- soon! Thank you Lord for all the wonderful opportunities. I really hope I don't f**k up.

So to end this post--here's an outfit shot! Dress will be on sale at my online store ARCHIVE tonight! Watch out for it :)

*i'm married to my sunglasses lately coz I'm too lazy to put on make-up. Lol.

Anyway, I redeemed a Chic Reward frm Chictopia again! Isn't this lovely?

Fun fact: I chose "I" because my real name is Isabel. I'm not really a fan of girly names but I thought the pendant looks cool. Lol. I just hope it doesn't get trapped by customs this time. The Scarpasa shoes is still with them! I'm too lazy to go to Pasay to claim it. It's too far from where I live.

Ooh, and before I forget--To my giveaway winners, I already shipped all of your prizes. YEY!!! Please inform me once you receive it. Enjoy your prizes ladies. I have another giveaway brewing. Hope you could all join again! :)

P.S. Speaking of giveaway, you could still join Lloyda's Ichigo giveaway. Click HERE to join . :)

And congratulations to the hip new mama Lloyda!!!:)
To everyone: Have a great weekend!

The Ruins + Announcements

Our flight back to Manila was immediately a day after my uncle's burial. I wish we could have stayed longer to spend more time with my grandmother and my uncle's family, but sadly everyone had to go to work. Our flight was 7pm so we had enough to time to go around. We arrived at Bacolod around 1 pm, we fetched my Aunt at a souvenir shop. Of course we also had to go in and buy food!

Sorry I don't have a picture of the inside of the store--just me in front. heehee. Oh and love the new city hall.

We then went to Bob's for a quick snack which turned out to be heavy eating. Lol.

Wish I lived in the 1960's. Hehe.

Bread shopping!

Bought 3 garlic bread (my fave!), 2 black sambo and 1 poppy seed muffin.

Cheezy potato, Fish & Chips, Ceasars Salad

Black Sambo reminds me of my childhood. Delicious:)

Before going to the airport, my Aunt and Uncle brought us to a heritage site called The Ruins. It's breathtakingly beautiful. Too bad they had to burn it down during the 2nd world war so that the Japanese won't make it as their headquarters. The details on the pillars are so intricate and exquisite. Entrance fee is just P40. Not bad.

Oh, and good news... my new bowler hat babies are now cured!!! How? I just steamed it over a boiling kettle and fixed the dents by shaping it with my fingers. Here's how it looks like now...

Yipee yey!

Errand Friday

I'm still waiting for our Sky cable connection to get fixed, for the meantime I just have to put up with my ultra slow smart bro plug-in connection. So I still can't post the photos from my uncle's wake/burial (I know I too am not a fan of sad endings but I just have to immortalize the event here just for future reference). If our connection picks up later I'll finish posting the rest of the photos and stories. But today, I'm just so proud of myself for not giving in to the call of indolence! Did a lot of things today.

My pending shipments for Archive are now done. Then, I texted Mich if I could order shoes online from Forever 21. She said No, but by the time I got her text I already received my order confirmation. Oops! These babies are just too pretty...

So Miu Miu-esque noh?

I wish I wish I wish this fits perfectly--unlike the other hats.

Since I still have a slight phobia of customs (my shoes from Chic Reward is still there, still unclaimed, haha), I decided to use Pobox instead. Go on, click on the link to learn more about it. All I know is that I can now buy items from the US without asking relatives and friends to include my item in their balikbayan box. I'll let you know if I encounter any problems with them as the order goes along.

So I left the house to go to the post office. My bowler hats finally arrived! But I got disappointed when I discovered that it got deformed. The shipper used a soft packaging box so it got dented. :( It's still wearable though. You must be taller than me to actually see the dent when I'm wearing them. Hehe! I'm still happy I finally have my own bowler hat. Does anyone know how to make them go back to their original state? Help?

Also paid my bills and settled some final changes for our upcoming Palawan trip! So excited. It's gonna be next weekend. My bday!:)

So while I'm settling my bills, I also met up with a friend from FIP who owns a shoe factory. And she gave me this! New brogues. And I love them!:)

So lovely and fits perfectly. :) Thanks Honey!

I'm also currently preparing for a shoot tomorrow. This is the peg:

..never realized how much black, grays and whites I have in my closet until now! Haha. Anyway, will blog about a part of our Bacolod trip later (still not the sad part). When we visited the historic "The Ruins". So breathtaking. So...laters! =)

Of Sweet Triumphs

I haven't slept yet--well that's because I work at night--but I'll be sleeping with a huge grin on my face. Just got an email from Weardrobe that I was chosen to receive their Spotlight Blogger of the Day!!! =) Sweet.

Thank you Weardrobe! =)

On other news... I know I've been ranting and whining about how hard it is to look for a bowler hat here in Manila. And I swear I did what Nina Garcia said in her Style book about sleeping it off when you want to purchase something, and when you still want it the next day then buy it. I saw these babies on Ebay and after sleeping it off for weeks, after raking through a number of malls, bazaars and thrift shops, and failing to take home the trophy bowler hat everytime-- I knew I had to get it.

Ebay FTW!=) I paid 32 Australian dollars (with shipping) for these babies. But I know it's worth it. Can't wait to get my hands on them! Oh, the agony of waiting. It'll be the longest 2 weeks of my life. Come to mama.
