Step Into the '90s at #MYOH2017

I love how Havaianas surprise us every year with their amazing #MYOH event themes! Instead of taking everyone to a new destination this year, Havaianas set course for a trip down memory lane and into the totally wicked fun era of the ‘90s! And it might their coolest one to date. :) We attended the press launch at Cable Car (one of the hippest places to hang out in during the 90s) last May 9 and grabe, so much feels! Photos and story below...

#MyBreak: Backstreet Boys Epic Concert

I seldom go to biglaang events, but when Aj Yabut contacted me if I wanted to watch BSB's concert at MOA Arena, I said yes without batting an eye! Haha. Didn't want to feel sorry for myself again if I missed this opportunity pa to see THE greatest & bestest (nagimbento ako word for them deserve nila yan) boyband of all time! Wala ng tatalo. Sorry. So happy I got to see them live on stage with my jowa Nico and best girlfriend Anagon! Too bad, I had to leave early because I had a Skype call (for work which I had to answer at home) so I didn't finish the whole thing. I was able to experience pa din naman the forever epic, BSB magic. One of the most amazing nights of my life! Pinagisipan ko talaga if I'll bring my treasured BSB cassette tape. O cge na bukingan na talaga ng age leche haha. Then I thought, wag na d ko din naman mapapasign haha. I remember how I would watch MTV for hours just to catch their videos with matching kilig on the side. And how I would try to imitate their dance moves (kaya puro gasgas silya namin sa bahay) and how I loved daydreaming na jowa ko si Nick Carter or Kevin. So much memories! So many good ones. Oh, what I would give just to re-live those moments. Sarap maging 16! HaHA. And then eto na nga! Thank you Kitkat and Aj for giving us the break we deserve! Taray haha. Back to the 90's: Part II

I can't help but feel a tinge of pain(haha pain talaga) whenever I see or hear things, movies or songs from my childhood. It's amazing how these things literally warps you back to the days when our source of joy was not twitter, or facebook, or the internet, but simple things like pogs or koosh balls or spirit hunting! So here's the 2nd part of my Back to the 90's post! Read my first post or Part 1 HERE. Let your hearts melt in sweet familiarity--and subtle heartbreak over the years that we could only have a fleeting glimpse of through these photos. :)

Spike Headband! Uso to sa St. Scho dati. Best way to keep your hair out of your face and look cool! Mejo masakit nga lang noh, lalo na if manipis your hair. Hehe

Bean Bag - kahit mumurahing bean bag na super hollow na when you sit you can still feel the floor gora pa din! Haha

Jelly Shoes - I still remember my favorite one which I bought from SM pa! Nahirapan ako ilet go sha kahit baduy na sha. Lol

Snap Hair Clips! I remember pag suot mo to, the more the merrier! I will never forget how I got a violation report in HS because I wore a pink one (eh sa St. Scho we can only wear black, white, brown, blue--boo)

Sour Candies! I don't know we gt excited eating sour candies! Pero fun sha!

Curly Shoelaces - pag kulot d daw salot nun eh. Lol.

Ouija Boards - did you spend hours calling on non existent sprits? Or making improvised Ouija Boards dahil walang ganito sa toy store or mahal mashado? Hahaha. Pwede na bond paper at pwet ng baso pang gawa ng circles. Lol. 

Toe Rings - isa pang trend na never ko gets. Haha

POGS!!! I still have mine in Marikina. Hehe.

Ring Pops - you wear it and you suck it. Cool ka na nun. Haha.

See Through Phones! It made making telebabad so much cooler. Haha.

Rubber Poppers! I remember I would make this reach pa sa roof! Haha. San nga to free?

Remember the electronic organizer I posted before? Ito pala yun. Pocket Locker!

Aminin, bumibili kayo nito dati!!! Haha. Well, ako oo. All because of Edward Furlong, Devoon Sawa, Jonathan Taylor, etc!

10 Things I Hate About You -- where we all swooned over heath Ledger. And I tried to recreate Julia Stiles' famous drunk dancing on top of the table scene. Lol!
