Closeup Forever Summer Finale, It's Now or Never!

The music festival that brings you, your friends and your favorite performers together is here again!!! From EDM kings Martin Garrix to Alesso, to Aussie indie pop duo Julia & Angus Stone, Closeup Forever Summer has hosted a choice selection of iconic electric dance music artists to celebrate life, friendship, summer, and those unforgettable nights that make life worth living. This year, Closeup is doing it one last time (huhuhu I'm so sad), transforming the SM MOA concert grounds into a Tropical Desert Oasis for a night to outshine the rest. Your much awaited music festival is happening again this May!!! This year, Closeup Forever Summer is getting bigger and better – with bigger international acts, never-ending questions about people’s opinions on Facebook, and a bigger venue for more people to get close. It's quite cool how Closeup make their events all about you, US! :)

Closeup Kicks Off Series of Ultimate Quiz Nights

With up to 12 hours of fresh breath, gain the confidence to get together with your friends for a night of games, trivia and ultimate barkada bonding with the #CLOSEUPQuizNight!

I love how Closeup always find ways to bring people closer together, just like last November 25, 2014 when they hosted their first ever Ultimate Quiz Night! The night saw camaraderie and intense competition, as teams answered challenging trivia questions, and vied for the grand prize – barkada goodies amounting to a hundred thousand pesos. So bongga! 



Celebrity barkadas composed of Radio DJs, Manila’s top fashion and beauty bloggers, and other close friends of Closeup were invited to join in the fun and compete against other teams. Barkada team names were coined after Closeup buzzwords such as #TeamSummerSolstice, #TeamForeverSummer, #TeamIcyWhite, #TeamFresh #TeamRedHot, #TeamFireFreeze, and #TeamDeepAction.

We had a lot of fun answering different trivias! It's a nice mix of questions from personalities to music to movies to general info. Super fun. Everyone was so competitive! Haha. 

After three rounds of intense trivia competition, one team was crowned the first ever Closeup Ultimate Quiz Night champion. Garnering a total of 45 points, #TeamRedHot, composed of Magic 89.9, RX 93.1 and 99.5 Play FM radio DJs, were declared champions, followed by first and second runners-up #TeamSummerSolstice and #TeamFireFreeze, respectively.

This will culminate in the Ultimate Quiz Night Showdown happening in November 2015, featuring all the winning barkadas from previous quiz nights. OMG, I wanna join again! Hehe. Let's???:)

Forever Summer with CLOSEUP

Closeup promises an even more exciting festival this year as they present Closeup Forever Summer, the first-ever crowd-sourced party in the country. From the theme, to what people wanted to wear, the time and place, and the music – Closeup gives partygoers control over this summer’s freshest party! After months of highly-publicized planning with over 500,000 people on social media, Closeup finally announces the details for this year’s Closeup Forever Summer music festival. April 5, Circuit Makati, Alesso + an amazing lineup. Couldn't get any better than that!:)

After weeks of listening in on people’s social media conversation, Closeup announced three foreign DJs and four local DJs as the acts for this year’s Closeup music festival last February 26 at Republiq. They capped off the night with an amazing set by Thomas Gold!!! He was so good!:)

Headlining Closeup Forever Summer is Alesso whose sets are among the most popular at the world’s largest music festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and the Electrid Daisy Carnival (EDC). This famous Swedish DJ has collaborated with producers Sebastian Ingrosso, Calvin Harris, and One Republic resulting to unforgettable tracks like “Calling”, “Years”, “If I Lose Myself”, and “Under Control”. I am so exciteeeed. I love him!!!!

Joining Alesso are DJs Helena and Deniz Koyu. Helena is one of EDM’s rising stars with her progressive, electro, and house beats. Big-room banger, Deniz Koyu is behind some of the most popular remixes to artists like Zedd (‘Spectrum’), Mike Snow (‘Pretender’), David Guetta (‘Just One Last Time’), Krewella (‘Live For The Night’), and Fedde Le Grand (‘So Much Love’). His recent anthem “Ruby” has been smashing up the Beatport charts lately, amassing support from the scene’s top DJs. Completing the lineup are local club favorites DJs Ace Ramos, Mars Miranda, Martin Pulgar, and Marc Naval.
