BAYO Celebrates Modern Filipinas in New Campaign + My Bayo Story

I've known the brand BAYO all my life. I'm sure most of you 90's babies could relate that it's one of those brands that has become my/our closet staple (lalo na mga nagooffice jan), one of those local brands that has become a part of our history. :) For 27 years, I watched the brand evolve and flourish even with all the competitions coming in and that's kind of amazing right?! I am so happy that they continue to withstand these ever changing times, much like the country and the people they represent. This 2019, BAYO celebrates the evolution of Modern Filipinas through a beautiful collection that tells her story. Read on to know more...

Dinner with Ms. TingTing Cojuangco + The Elegant Filipina

Ms. Tingting Cojuangco has always been one of my favorite fashionistas and one of my style icons. I just love how she carries everything she wears with grace, finesse and confidence. Her style is not just dependent on her clothes but it exudes from within. Her outfit choices and her overall look are always on point. Anybody could dress up and call themselves fashionistas, but not everyone has innate, effortless style. Did you know that during the year 1968, she was selected by Harper's Bazaar as one of the 100 Most Beautiful Women in the World alongside Jacqueline Kennedy, Queen Sirikit, Gloria Vanderbilt, Grace Kelly & Audrey Hepburn to name a few??? Wowww! So when I, together with a few bloggers, got invited to have dinner with her at her house, I just had to say yes. I've heard a lot of good things about her and I wanted to experience it myself. Hehe. So why where we there? Scroll down below to find out!:)

Channeling Blair

Blair Eadie that is, better known as Miss Atlantic-Pacific, my #1 favorite blogger! Love her flair and her extraordinary talent in mixing and matching clothes. She can pull off any look with finesse and class. Got inspired by one of her looks! This is my version!:) Expect more of this! I just love love love her. This was also what I wore to the Watsons, Tobys and PEFTA event. :)

Thrifted striped top, Mango jumper dress, Police watch, Stylized Manila bracelet, Suiteblanco bag & leopard ballet flats

Was thinking of ways on how to wear this denim jumper pencil dress (which I got on sale at a Mango outlet store in Bacolod) and  got the perfect inspiration! Woot. Will wear this with white polo and heels naman next. :) Accessorized with a garterized belt I bought from Girl Shoppe and instead of red flats or heels, went for leopard print! Wala lang trip lng. Haha. That's all thank you. Unlike Blair though, I could never fix my hair the way she does. I could only dream bilang I don't have the talent or patience. Oh well!

It's already 6am and I'm still up! Watching American Horror Story in my old room at Marikina. Spending my weekend with the fam. I can wake up super late later. Yahoo. More more posts lateeer. Love you all!

A Guide to this Season’s Hottest Jeans

Jeans are no longer just the plain boring blue garments that we all used to own. Today our favorite denim creations come in a huge variety of shapes, styles and colors – and this season’s offerings are no exception. Here’s a look at some of the popular looks expected to hit the high street in spring 2013:

Colors

Forget your usual varieties of blue – this season’s range of jeans is bursting with color. From pretty pastels to vibrant pop-art colors, there are now shades to suit everyone’s unique taste and style.

Some of the eye-catching colors to look out for include the fun candy-striped range from Motel or the vibrant canary yellow range from Club L. If you’re opting for a pop of color on the bottom half, make sure you keep your top half simple with a black, white or grey vest and cardigan.

Super Skinny

Skinny jeans are forecast to still be the must-have style for the year ahead. Thankfully the super-soft fabric range makes for a more wearable and comfortable pair of jeans. Black and dark blue skinny jeans are still staple garments for every girl’s wardrobe. They look great matched with a casual cardigan and boots for a lunch date or paired with a vest, blazer a great pair of heels on a night out.

Boyfriend Jeans

As the weather begins to warm up and the sun finally makes an appearance, it’s nice to have a more casual, loose fitting pair of trousers to turn to. Boyfriend style jeans feature a looser fit around the leg and hips. They’re also cropped just above the ankle for a casual, capri-style effect.

Not only are boyfriend jeans perfect for lounging around the house in style and comfort, they’re also great for getting outdoors on holiday for activities like riding a bike or playing tennis. Be sure to match them with a fitted top, like a simple vest or a shirt tucked in at the hips.

Faded Denim

Spring is on the way and soon the high street will be awash with florals. To match the
whimsical and charming look, a number of faded denim garments are back in fashion, like faded denim boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans and denim waistcoats. There’s a huge variety of faded denim styles available to choose from online with the Very’s womens jeans range.
