It's Raining Bart

Hello I'm alive!!! Hihi. Haven't touched my laptop for days (but was always on mobile) coz as you all know, my Lola passed away last week. Got caught up entertaining relatives and friends who came all the way from Hogwarts (charot hehe) and took the night post sa pagbantay. My Lola has always been loving and kind and groovy. Her crossing over brought our family closer, to the point na clingy na ata lahat lalo na cousins. Pati neighbors namin naclingy na. Wahaha. Anyway, I still cry (in secret shempre haha) whenever I see photos of Mama Babes or whenever I think of her. Time to bury na din my gasgas na line, "D ako pwede birthday kasi ng lola ko sa cubao eh". Pffft. Okay naiiyak na naman ako, moving on! Did an impromptu shoot today for our little project FREEDOM KICKS! Taken from our rooftop, photos by Catch G. :) But first, solo ko muna! Hehe. Super comfy my new Wrangler shorts. I think 4 days ko na to ginagamit ng walang labahan. Overused much? No judgements! Breaking in pa. Lol. Love that it comes with a cool leather ribbon belt. I am not a fan of low waist bottoms (I always go for high-waist ones to make my legs appear longer) but this one I like. :) Then went cray cray over prints. Di ko mashado favorite si Bart Simpson. Haha. Also wearing an Oxygen shirt from the men's section. Moving on...

PFW: Oxygen S/S '12

I would beat traffic, put up with epal cab drivers, ride the MRT, run to SMX in heels just to be able to witness the unveiling of Oxygen's S/S 2012 collection at the Philippine Fashion Week runway. I was late (I blame the Atrium! hehe) and I lost my reserved seat, but that didn't stop me from watching the show even if I had to stand at the back and watch it form afar. I wasn't able to take good photos (so thank you Kaye for your bionic lens) but I did enjoy the show--nice production, music and of course clothes!:) (photos from kaye)

They showcased a lot of clothes and looks so I'm just posting my favorites below...

I love how Oxygen has everything for everyone. You all know I'm a vintagey girl, but I always find something I could wear in Oxygen. They have amazing basic pieces plus pieces that are not too loud but will make you stand out from the crowd. I particularly love this collection coz they finally injected color--subtle, but it's still color! Obsessed with the Marcela tees as well. Some people texted and messaged me asking if they're now out in stores. I heard it will be out this November, so watch out for it!:)

OXYGEN S/S '12 Exclusive Preview Party

I, together with 25 other bloggers (not everyone came though), was lucky enough to have been chosen to attend OXYGEN's very exclusive preview party of their spring/summer line and collaboration with Marcela Gutierrez. It was held at their Trinoma branch last October 8.

I was late so I wasn't able to take many photos. Some of the photos posted below were grabbed from Vergil Chua & Karl!:)

Oxygen's newest collection strategically hops to a topnotch cluster of colors and fierce imagery that will turn out to be a fashion phenomenon as the brand ties up with one of the world's best illustrator, Marcela Gutierrez. Soft, relaxed silhouettes and anti-gender, that is Oxygen's Spring/Summer collection for 2012, a mixture of minimalist and androgynous cuts that uses color splashes from palettes of both sexes, like Green, Yellow, Blue and Neutrals.
