A Mystical Tale with PANDORA

PANDORA recently launched their Fall/Winter 2014 collection at Mega Fashion Hall's Activity Center through an amazing ballet performance and it was nothing short of magical. Here are photos from the launch, as well as their breathtaking new collection!

Taking cues from the current fascination with all things magical and nature-inspired, as seen in films like Snow White and the Huntsman, Alice in Wonderland, and the fantasy world of the hit TV series Game of Thrones, Pandora creates a new magical classic that mirrors their mystique and novelty, and altogether polishing it off with signature sophistication.

Echoing the Autumn/Winter collection inspirations, Pandora brings to life the mystery and magic of the forest thru interpretative ballet and scenography titled “A Mystical Tale with Pandora.” Renowned director and playwrite Floy Quintos, celebrated set and costume designer Gino Gonzalez and no less than the Philippine Ballet Theatre were tapped to interpret the fantasy-inspired Autumn Winter collection. The ballet story narrates the lead character’s (Pandora) journey in search of precious discoveries and valuable moments.

Host Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo was quoted in her narration as saying, “You have gone through the forest and the night unafraid. Imagine if you could go through life, gathering the precious charms that are symbols of life’s mysterious and wonderous unfolding.”

Each of the pieces in the collection is thoughtfully designed to captivate the senses in a modern tale of femininity. The series boasts of beautifully textured and ultra-feminine rings, earrings, charms and pendants, which can be collected over time and stacked, combined, and styled with other pieces for a truly personal look. Crafted from sterling silver, 14k gold, coloured enamel and sparkling cubic zirconia, the Autumn/Winter collection melds tradition with innovation to create unforgettable moments and stylish sentiment.

“We use micro-setting techniques for the pave cubic zirconia to capture the delicacy and detail in the series. All the techniques we use are similar to high-end jewelry because we want to offer people the best experience with their jewelry,”Pandora’s designer Lee Antony Gray explained. The difference is our price is affordable and our jewelry accessible.

Shimmering Leaves, for one, is a precious heirloom in the making, waiting to be passed down through generations: while on-trend, it is also a timeless series to cherish for years to come. Building on last year’s gorgeously Fairy Feather series, the new Shimmering Leaves series was crafted through months of painstakingly made renderings and meticulously honed prototypes, using fine jewellery techniques to create micro-set sterling silver and yellow gold details.

Dark Florals, meanwhile, are made with sculptural elements and textural combinations reminiscent of the natural world, as the jewelry features mysterious and magical floral motifs. Lustrous white pearls are offset by enchanting black enamel flowers on sterling silver, and intricately detailed floral charms are decorated with 14k gold, sparkling enamel and shimmering stones.

Pandora also introduces the Night Blue Crystal Set. The new series of cool blue jewels comprises a captivating cocktail ring, delicate stud earrings and a necklace pendant, each set with beautiful deep blue crystal, faceted to catch the light. Each crystal in encircled with decorative dots of sterling silver, adding textural element to jewellery reminiscent of the enchanting night sky.

Guys, this is the perfect gift for people you love! It's so classy and timeless. Each piece was crafted to give the bearer a little more magic and enchanment. Take for example, this gorgeous earrings I got to took home...

lovely:) Thank you Pandora! Thanks Roch!

Remember, Pandora girls...
Love, love:)

Karylle + Yael Wedding

In the 2 years I have known and worked with Karylle, I have witnessed how much she loves Yael and vise versa. If you'll just see them together, you'd know why they are indeed perfect for each other.  Both of them loves music, super smart and witty, weird (as they both said during the wedding) and genuine. I'm so lucky to have been part of the most beautiful and most important part of their lives. I am just so happy for the both of them. They are both beautiful inside and out and they deserve all the happiness in the world. :) Here are photos from their afterparty (at Angelfields, Tagaytay) as well as photos taken by their official photographer, Pat Dy. Plus, their wedding video which is also Spongecola's music video titled Singapore Sling. So much feels, so much kilig. Try not to cry! Or die of envy. Hihi.
