Whatever Resolutions
I hate resolutions. I think it's just an uneffective way for people to feel good about the coming year and themselves. Or maybe because I have never kept one. I would rather build goals and work towards achieving them. Or maybe I could just compose a bucket list. At least I won't have to box my goals in just one year. And if by any chance--a fat chance--you miss and fail and stumble as you try to achieve them you'd never hear yourself say, "I'm so over it! I'd just try again next year".
So instead of caving into the pressure just focus on taking that leap or that one tiny step to achieving your goal. Don't give yourself a deadline. But also avoid slacking too much. Coz the world turns unbelievably fast and days pass faster than a bullet train--you might have a hard time catching up.
Here are my mini personal plans which I'll start working on this year:
1.) Fashion School - Catch and I are planning to enroll in SoFa's crash course program in--fashion styling (for him) and I--still haven't decided yet.
For Catch, check these out:

I also read that Slim's or St. Benilde are good fashion design schools.
2.) Marketing Conference or Seminars - I would like to attend more conferences and seminars this year just to expand my network. Marketing is a gold mine.
3.) Go back to school and learn more - I'm still doing an elimination process of the courses I would like to take up.
4.) Look for a home based job - so I could finally work on my online store full time. For the meantime, my night shift job will do. Heehee.
5.) Push my plan of designing clothes and putting them into production. - now I should really go and visit Divisoria.
6.) Be more active selling vintage clothes online- I've been super busy the last few months I've totally neglected my Back2Vintage store. I miss it and soon I'll be back with more fabulous clothes! If only I could find the time to buy more stocks, have it altered or redone and take pictures and post. Argh.
7.) Buy a laptop - it's easier to get things done if I have my own.
8.) Travel more - my target places for this year is Palawan, Camiguin or Caramoan. I would also love to revisit Thailand and visit Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia. So help me God!:)
9.) Throw a birthday bash - and not just anywhere. My last big bash was my 18th birthday at a club in Timog. Haha. I'll think of a cool place. And it's by invite only!
10.) Shop more - just because I know I can't shop less. :P
My bucket list is up next. ;)

Adios and Ola!
2009 is nearing it's end and I'm feeling a lot surreal. A lot has happened to me this year--heartaches, heartbreaks, new beginnings and experiences. Here are just some of the highlights of this past year:
1.) Lost loves and New loves - I need not say more. :)
1.) I've been blessed enough to be able to visit a lot of new places. Hongkong, Thailand, Boracay, Punta Fuego, Thunderbird, etc. And now I can't wait to get to see more next year. :)
2.) Success of my online store in Ebay. Which was really a huge source of my personal funds. I'm thankful for all my loyal clients who had been really nice, forgiving and supportive to me.
3.) Got a new apartment. I still spend my weekends in Marikina but I now find our 14th ave. crib a home away fom home.:)
4.) Bacolod/La Carlota Trip - when we celebrated Mama Sally's 85th birthday by giving her a huge birthday bash. That's not even enough to say thanks to a loving Lola and mother. She deserves a bigger celebration of her life.:)
5.) Style Evolution - I think I've discovered (and still discovering) my personal style this year. And now, I'm happy to share it with the world. :P
6.) Book Fest - This was also the year when I've read the most number of books. One of my true passion.
7.) I had my hair permed!
8.) Philantropy - I was involved in charity this year than any other years of my life. And I plan to do more next year. So help me God.:)
9.) Typhoon ONDOY - when we rose from the tragedy with open hearts and a lot of smiles. Optimism is a good motivation, but FAITH and GRACE is the best mover.
10.) I've reduced smoking! (which is quite a feat for me)
This was truly the year when my emotions were tested to the core. When I felt things I thought I would never feel in my whole life. When I made the most difficult choices and had to learn to stand by my decisions. And despite everything, I'm extremely thankful for all the blessings God has given me. And if he continues to send more my way on 2010 I will be more and more thankful. I'm also thankful for all the second chances and even more for all the failures. I've come out from each one of them--stronger and wiser (I hope). And now I'm hopeful as ever. Some of you may have lost more than you gained this year--people you love, material things, security, etc.--but the one thing we should never lose is FAITH (and resilience). It saves me everytime. I hope it does the same to you.
So let's give a toast to the coming year...

Eeny Meeny Miny Mo!
Last Sunday I watched some Presidentiables speak their minds in a TV show in Ch. 2.. And as always their BS made my head spin. Haha. I think the most promising there is only Gordon. Escudero is really smart but he might be too young for the highest position in the country. Sabi nga ng iba, VP ka nalang muna!
Here's the list of 2010 Presidentiables:

... but SERIOUSLY?! Estrada?! COMEOOOWN! Does Filipinos really have amnesia or are we just plain, um--dumb? If we let him win again--SERIOUSLY, I'll be migrating to another country (right Mich?). Also, why is De Castro leading the polls again? Pls pls remind me again the really significant things he did for our country in his very long term in office. Argh.
But if I was held by someone at gun point ot really choose among the list, I would choose only 1 person and that's Bayani Fernando. Cmon, I know a lot hate him but I admire him for his conviction of doing things his way becasue it is beneficial for us in the long run (Believe me I hated him too for quite some time because of those pink harangs along EDSA noh! And for making me walk ng super layo sometimes but then it's still for our benefit) and for his passion of making Manila (aside from Pink) disciplined and more beautiful as possible (just like the wonderful city of Marikina!). One time while I was waiting for an FX at the back of Isettan-Cubao I saw Bayani at the corner of Araneta and Aurora. I swear nashock din ako in fairness. Haha. I thought, "Ano kaya ginagawa netong taong to dito? Baka naligaw". He was alone (well not totally coz I discovered 2 men trying hard to hide para d opbvious na bodyguards hehe) and just stood there for about 15 mins checking at vehicles, etc. etc. How cool is that? Who would tolerate soot and sweat and pollution just to check their jurisdiction? (kudos to Isko Moreno hehe). Well pogi points for his efforts. He may be harsh sometimes but that's because Filipinos have become sooooo pasaway to the highest levels that we really need someone to police our actions sometimes. Aminin nio!
But that's my opinion. I still think that 90% of words that comes out of their mouth are BS. And with this I part with you my current favorite song:
WALA (Kamikazee)
Napanood sa telebisyon
Inuuto ang neysion
Na-meet daw ekspekteysyon
Sa kanyang imagineysyon
Wala nangyari, wala namang nagbago
Parehong kwento, sino ba ang niloloko mo
CHORUS:
Wala namang kaming napala
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Meron pa bang naniniwala
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Wala ka namang kasing nagawa
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Wala na sayong naniniwala
sabi mo merong solusyon
paberti at mas starbeysion
Nabawasan daw konsomisyon
Dis kol por a selebrasyon
Pero walang nangyari, walang nagbago
Parehong kwento, sino ba ang niloloko mo
Wala namang kaming napala
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Meron pa bang naniniwala
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Wala ka namang kasing nagawa
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Wala na sayong naniniwala
Speech:
pu***g ina nio hahaha
Wala namang kaming napala
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Lalo lang lumalala
Wala ka namang kasing nagawa
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Wala na sayong naniniwala
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Wala, wala, wala, wala
Bakit di ka pa mawala (repeat)!
