Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina

Filipina women are known to be resilient, strong, will-powered and beautiful. Agree? We might be Maria Claras before, but with the passing of time, our traits & characteristics evolved with it too. From better to best, from good to greatest. To celebrate this relevant and admirable changes, Cream Silk, the Philippines’ No. 1 hair care brand, launched its newest campaign: Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina last January 23 at the World Trade Center. Known for helping women go beyond beautiful, this year, Cream Silk champions Modern Filipinas, who strive to become the best versions of themselves, in their journeys of transformation! Go fellow modern Pinays! Here are photos from the launch:)

For this event, Cream Silk collaborated with the country’s top magazines – Cosmopolitan, Meg, MEGA, Metro, Preview and Yes! – to empower the event attendees and equip them with everything they need as they kick off their own transformations, inside and out.

In celebrating the year of the Modern Filipina, each publications involved hosted workshops and talks, inviting some of the Philippines top industry experts in the fields of fashion, entertainment, and beauty. Each activity featured different kinds of transformation, from beauty and fashion makeovers to unleashing one’s inner potential. Through these, event attendees were empowered and equipped with everything they need to transform into Modern Filipinas.

At the Cream Silk lounge, guests completed the experience through hair transformations. To demonstrate that only Cream Silk can transform any hair problem to beyond beautiful hair, experts assessed hair needs, as well as recommended the best styles to highlight assets. Then, guests had their hair done in their style of choice to experience their very own Cream Silk transformation. We wanted to try this out but the line was super long:(

Event started with an intro by METRO's Editor-In-Chief, Sarah Meier:)

Cosmo Philippines' Editor-In Chief Myrza Sison:)

As a fitting and grand finale, the audience was treated to the first ever live cover shoot experience to unveil the new roster of Cream Silk Modern Filipinas. Cream Silk and the top magazines styled and photographed the newest endorsers on stage, in front of event attendees. Super bongga nito! First time it happened, I think!:)

So beautiful:)

Joining Heart Evangelista on the covers of the publications’ March issues are the country’s leading ladies Nadine Lustre, Coleen Garcia, Julie Anne San Jose, Rachelle Ann Go and Yassi Pressman, who have all embarked on their own journeys of transformations.

Ultimate squad goal!

To add, to the already impressive line up, Cream Silk also welcomed home Pia Wurtzbach, on her first Philippine appearance as Ms. Universe. Pia epitomizes the most inspiring transformation of the Modern Filipina yet, set to conquer the universe! With a beauty that inspires, determined to realize her dreams, she has come back to make her positive mark in the world, taking her well deserved walk at Cream Silk’s event.

Welcome back, Queen! She's the epitome of a Modern Filipina talaga! Elegant, graceful, very real. :)
