Bigger Brighter Best

Attended FIP's graduation show--Fashion Nation--last night at The Block, SM North. Newly grads presented their collections each with a fashion destination (ex. Milan, Manila, etc.) and I tell you I instantly fell in love with quite a few pieces! I wanted to snatch it from the runway and wear it right then and there. Also met some models I already worked with in previous shoots. Again, here's how it all went in photos!

Model friends:)

So tall :P

And here are my best bets...

This collection made me drool. I'd totally wear the dresses to any party. And the striped shoes!!! I die.

Red carpet worthy dress!

Lovin' this! Love the colors and flow/fit of the pieces. I want the pants!

Alexander Mcqueen-esque

I wanna wear this!

Ethereal. It looks perfect on Jessica Yang!

Fashion Destination: Manila. Love how they incorporated our national costume into their designs!

Lovely.

My friend Dette was one of the designers featured!

One of her designs..

and another one...

There was a also a key turn over ceremony for FIP's 2 new branches! Wow! Congratulations Sir Shannon. :) The Makati branch would now be handled by Cathy Binag (Manny Pacquiao's stylist!) and the Quezon City branch would be handled by I forgot sorry. Hehe!

The FIP directors

Keys were presented by the most gorgeous twins ever--Sir John & Paul Herrera :)

Designers were called on stage for the awarding of the design competition.

Panel of judges

The judges include Sir Shannon, Renee Salud, someone from Stylebible, someone from Abs-Cbn, and other known designers. I was too busy chatting away I wasn't able to get their names! Anyway, the winner was also one of our favorites. :)

And here's some photos of me and my ex-FIP classmates during the event. We all enjoyed the cocktails. I ate this time! :P

We all got hungry so we went to Tomas Morato to eat at Banapple. Sadly, the place was packed! So we ate at Omakase instead. In the midst of eating, Rech's dad called asking where we were. After the call Rech asked us to not eat anymore coz we had to go to their resto to eat again! We happily obliged. Heeee.

at Omakase

waiting for valet.

When we got to my friend's resto the place was closed. When we got inside we found out that some important people rented the whole place out. We were introduced to some of them. :) It's perfect coz we're looking for sponsors for a fashion show we're planning to hold on November! Yey. And now, here's what we were served...

Now I'm hungry again.

Loved the fried king fish!

We also had to drink 1 glass of Jack Daniels. It's not my favorite! Hehe.

Thanks Rech (and to your dad) for the scrumptious meal!:)

I had to run home coz I was already late for work. But it was such a fun night. It's always fun to catch up with friends and eat--a lot! I have a styling gig tomorrow for a small magazine. Hey, it' still a magazine--it' still something for me. :) Wish me luck!

Haute! Couture Couture.

So last Monday was our last project shoot at FIP. Theme was Haute Couture. Our team's concept was storybook fairytales. I opted for Little Red Riding Hood.

Thank God I was able to pull-out from some wonderful designers. Thank you Popo Go, Dimple Lim, Cherry Veric and Sir Shannon Pamaong for sharing with us your wonderful creations! :)

That's it. Exhibit on Monday. I still don't have the final photos of our Women's wear shoot (will blog about that soon). It's sad classes are over. Will miss my classmates! Well I can enroll for sewing classes next. Hee.
