Love-Hate Relationship

I love Marikina as much as I hate it. Love-hate relationship at it's best. I love how it has been my home for 25 years, and how it bore witness to countless transitions & transformations. It would forever be my little comfort zone. When I'm here my random qualms seems to magically disappear. But I should warn you (and warn others), Marikina is a warp zone! Once you're in, you may never get out. Lol. When I'm here, time seems to drag longer, I tend to oversleep and stay in my bed for one whole day. I have to drag myself out of bed and out of the house. I also hate how it's far (I realize that now haha) from "civilization" and by that I mean my work. Goodbye gas money! Haha. You know how I often need to do rush pullouts and meetings. Pffft. My cousin Patrick visited my brother the other day and left 2 days after. Grabe noh! No more extra sleeping time for me or leaving home an hour before bilang wala nako sa Cubao..for now. So anyway, had to work yesterday and ran to Rockwell to pullout clothes for styling. Here's what I wore! Photos by my Mom. Naks.

Romwe vintage top, hearts sunglasses & bag, Wrangler jeans, Le Bunny Bleu oxford shoes

My Mom and cousin kept me company even through the hellish 2-hour traffic. Had to stop over at my Lola's house to rest bilang nilagnat ako ng very slight and suddenly had my period! Tindi ng traffic sa Pinas. Lol. Speaking of my mudra, here's her chosen footwear yesterday!

Her new flats from Dr. Kong!:)

Speaking of shoes, been spending time shopping online lately. Bilang warp zone sa Marikina. Hanggang Batanes na my wishlist sa dami. Lol. Saw a lot of nice stuff from ASOS and also Lulus! Planning to purchase bongga dresses so I have reserves for styling. Saw a lot of nice clothes and shoes from Zalora!:) It's a little haven for stylists like me coz they carry a lot of brands so search lang ako and then voila! How about you, where do you shop online? Share naman! Or not. Okay share!:)

Cge na muna, gotta run! Meeting blog besties now na. Catch up with you guys later:)

Give Your Feet a Break with Dr. Kong!

When I went to Guevarra's by Chef Laudico's quaint resto for the Dr. Kong event, I really didn't know what to expect. Well, I know I wanted to eat. Haha. Patay gutom lang lagi lol. I also just wanted to see and catch up with blogger friends. But the discussion and presentation caught my interest, especially since it's always a daunting task for me to wear heels and find comfortable shoes. Never imagined there's actually a shoe line which promotes health and wellness (toroooy spa levels) for our feet! Learned a lot that day! This is so  important that I just had to share it with you guyzzz. This just might save your life. Or not. But it will save your feet from further abuse. Heee. I have yet to try their products (will visit their store soon) but I hope it makes my life in heels easier. Photos!

So guys, meet Mr Raymond Ng, founder of Dr. Kong Footcare. He established the brand in 1999, with a mission to educate the public on the importance of foot health. Since its inception, it has grown rapidly; having expanded to 62 retail outlets in Hong Kong, 70 retail outlets in China and now arrive on Philippines shores . Dr. Kong is not a person okay. Haha. Kong actually came from Hong Kong where it all started. Hihi.

Study shows most parents overlook the importance of their children's foot problems and suitable shoe types. This may lead to foot problems such as flatfoot and rearfoot valgus, affecting an otherwise healthy and normal development. Foot problem can lead to knee, hip and lower back pain that can limit mobility. Most foot ailments stem from the cumulative effects of years of wear, tear and ‘abuse’ which we subject our feet to.  In some cases foot ailments can be an early signal of more serious medical problems like arthritis or diabetes. Remember if you are experiencing pain or discomfort in your ankles, knees or hip joints, the direct cause may be the result of ill-fitting shoes. Di niyo alam yun noh! I didn't. Tsk.

Apart from the range of ready-to-wear ultra comfy shoes for the entire family, Dr. Kong Footcare also provides the unique “Check & Fit” foot examination service at no extra cost. It helps educate customers about their feet condition. Depending on the result, they then recommend & offer the appropriate and suitable Dr. Kong standard insoles (applicable for most of the shoe designs) to fit into their choice of footwear. Nice!

i wanna try this na ASAP!
