Late Post: Sunday Treats!

Last week, Sunday the day after the Brown Bag Market, I decided to make it up to Mich. But before that, as usual, I had to go to a styling commitment first. I think this is gonna be used for a photographer's exhibit soon--so watch out for it! :) Here's a sneak peek of what transpired in Calibre studio that day... My peg was all about colors--which is obvious no?

model (who also did ad campaigns in Indonesia, Malaysia and South Africa!) Diana Santos

with new model Charmaine (who looks fierce btw! but super sweet)

One of the sets was used for MJ Cachero's upcoming openshoot teaser! You guys could all join!

of course, with my bessy Jear!:)

The shoot just lasted for 2 hours (yey!), so we headed to Nuat Thai, Libis afterwards for a much needed and much deserved massage! :)

Their very friendly and courteous staff :)

After we were given slippers, I was then asked to choose the oil I wanted to use for the massage session. I chose Lavender! Then in we went...

dark hallway leading to the room at the end...

...where we had our feet washed first.

Japanese style rooms! I loveee:)

Mich chose the traditional thai massage, which involves stretching (which I'm not a fan of.) I, on the other hand, chose their swedish massage with hot rock balls or something. It's more expensive but I loved it! And here's how I looked like after the whole thing. I swear I wanted to go straight to sleep after! Sorry for the uber messy everything. Lol.

Calm and relaxed.

Verdict: For P850 total, it's worth it. The place is fairly new, so the service and everything is still amazing. I hope it stays the same after 2-5 years! Mich loved the massage. I also loved it, but it was still a little painful for me. As I've said before, I am very sensitive when it comes to massages because I'm all bones. Thunderbird Resort still holds the best massage crown for me. :)

Outfit post!

We then headed to Gateway, Araneta after to catch Harry Potter's last full show. We ate at Figaro first then headed to the cinema after.

I always hate my post spa look. Haha.

Harry Potter rocks! I heard a lot of negative reviews but it looks a-okay to me. The story is a little long and a little dragging, but there are a lot of defining moments and the effects--mindblowing. Can't wait for our next date day! It's always always fun. :)

*add Nuat Thai on facebook! Just search for Nuat Thai Libis. :)

P.S. Will announce my giveaway winner later! Stay tuned! :)

Common Indulgence

I love how I spent my weekend. I missed 2 events last Saturday just to lie in bed all day and catch up on rest. Last Sunday, I was trying to use my puss-in-boots technique for Mich to let me shop at Gateway/SM Cubao/Alimall coz there was a 3-day sale. But I failed, so I just accepted my fate and off to Megamall we went. I am currently on a mini-mini shopping ban coz we are moving to a bigger apartment this Tuesday and we had to pay quite a huge amount of money for the deposit. But I still went home with a shopping bag on hand! Why? Coz of this...

I know the outfit looks familiar but I'm wearing a different shorts and shirt. I swear! =)

As a thank you gift (for blogging about their new collection), Ensembles gave me P1K worth of GC. Picked it up at their Megamall branch. The envelope has a sticker with my name and blog name on it. Cute.

Tried on 2 of my favorite items--can you guess which one I picked? :)

Military jacket by Debbie Co

This is Mich's bet--cute tweed jacket:)

While waiting for my purchase:)

Tired. or sad? lol

We walked around some more afterwards. I didn't buy anything else but it was very hard not to look when all the shops are on sale! Ugh. I went to Forever 21 to check if they already have the peep-toe clogs, but I went home empty handed only to my dismay. The ladies here are fast! Within 2 days stocks are all gone and my sizes all sold-out. Damn. :P We also watched M. Night's movie "Devil". It was awesome. The plot is predictable though and I guessed who the devil was right away, but it scared me! There's also a lot of moral lessons, so it's a must see.

Anyway, this morning my fashion school friends and I went to Divisoria (a big big market here in Manila)  to do some serious accessories shopping for styling. I shelled out P2500 ($60) for all these!!!

5 belts for P100 (P20 each), black leggings (P75), 2 braided belts (P20 each), knee high socks (P70 each)

Skirt hanger for bazaar (10 for P100), bracelets (P100 each), dogtag (P50), leather cuffs (P20 each),
pearl necklace with flower brooch (P130), earrings (P45 each)

juicy bracelets (P100 each), beaded cuffs (P50 each), earrings (P50), necklaces (P70 each)

I was also able to buy 100 pcs of shopping bags for my upcoming bazaars for P180 only. Yey! I went home broke but happy. Lol. Now all I need to do is organize my things and I'm all set. =) How was your weekend and your week so far? :)

In other news, I was featured on another Spanish online magazine--MUST! :) If anyone can translate it for me I'd be very grateful. Hee. =)

Laidback Sunday

So I wasn't able to push through with my original plan of washing the items I'm gonna display at the bazaar. Hee. So we went straight to Gateway instead to watch a movie. We were supposed to watch The Sorcerer's Apprentice but when we got to the counter most of the seats are already taken and the next screening is at 10pm. So we ended up watching Cinco (a Filipino horror-comedy flick) instead. Haha! Surprisingly it was fun to watch. Just because I'm a sucker for a good scare and some good laughs. I just love how all the people watching screams and laughs together with no inhibitions. That's what made it more fun.=D

And got to wear my new sneakers! Some photos from tonight...

Quick dinner at Max's

I like her sandals! =)

Quick outfit shot before the movie.

Wearing: top-thrifted, shorts-thrifted, bag-Diesel, shoes - Keds, necklace - Anagon

Mich checking her eyes on Kamiseta's mirror.

Skinned my lips to death the WHOLE movie. Argh.

Dropped by Burger Machine to buy some snacks before going home.

They still have my favorite Chili burger and Sansrival! Love=)

Tomorrow's laundry day. Wish me luck.

P.S. My blog just turned 2, so  I will be having my first giveaway very soon!!! I have amazing items to give away from some sponsors so watch out for it! I'm still not sure if this will be open to international readers but-- hopefully! =)

Avatar Rocks

...and Avatar in 3D rocks even better. We've waited for weeks to watch this movie. It was MMFF season so most of December is all about Filipino movies. Not that it's bad--some Filipino movies are also great. But I was really excited to catch this film in theater coz as I've heard the effects are awesome. So today me and Mich, ate and miles, and joot and kang went to SM-Marikina to watch it in 3D. Yes, there's 3D in SM-Marikina. Cool eh? :P And what can I say. We were not disappointed. We even said we'd watch it again!

Clint, told ya the girl is not Angeline Jolie! It's Zoe Saldana! Hahaha.

Here's the official trailer of the film:

View the summary and synopsis here in IMBD.

So for those who haven't seen it--GO na!!!

P.S. And don't you just love the French version of the poster. Sooo jurassic park meet the aliens. Loves.

Here's what my sister and I wore to the movies--and some of our chipmunk friends!

Toodles!

After days and days of delaying (because I was too scared to watch it coz I might really drown into depression) I finally got to watch Schindler's List. I love how it portrayed without bias Germany/Poland during WWII. How it nonchalantly displayed the cruelty of the Nazis and the absolute compassion and love of others for those in dire need. It showed how one industrialist German, Oskar Schindler, who is in the Nazi party made a difference in saving a lot of people's lives (by employing Jews in his factory, protecting them everytime) even if it meant risking his own. I found out he spent 4 million paying every name on his list. I also loved the blonde lil girl in red! The cutest. Too bad she died in the film (which was also one of the movie's turning points).

After the movie I went into my researcher mode again digging infos about some characters who played a role in the Great Depression. I discovered that there were actually a lot of people who risked their lives saving others. Some were killed, some made it. Some gave free passports to fleeing Jews for free. Some helped falsify their documents so people can escape. Some (even if their brothers or relatives are high ranking SS officers) tried to live by their conscience and secretly performed anti-fascist deeds to save some lives. Some who were directly involved with the government and have positions also did some underground works to help expose the gruesome truth that time.

In the end, goodness still prevailed! That is after 6 million people died. Oh well. :c

Movie Date with the Gang

...we just came from Greenhills to watch Wolverine. The movie's nice! Before meeting up with Vian, Anne and Aiza, Mich and I first ate at Flapjacks. It's a lot similar to Gramms Diner in Rockwell. It's pricey but I got my stomach full. Yey!

(while waiting for our food)

(love the clock!)

(been lovin' Coke float lately!)

(All American breakfast - P365--yummy!)

(Seafood whatever, Mich loves this)

(Sicilian stopover with Aiza)

...it was fun. Wish we neved had to go back to the office. Work sucks!
