Plains & Prints 20th Anniversary Photography-Fashion Collection

Top local retail brand Plains & Prints recently held a huge event in celebration of their 20th anniversary at Glorietta. Anne Curtis walked the runway wearing pieces from their new photo-fashion collection featuring the works of renowned photographers Wig Tysman and Mark Nicdao. I am so in love with this collection!!! I don't have photos from the event but here are photos from the lookbook!

Throughout the 20 years, Plains & Prints has always kept its market in mind, particularly the working woman and her quest for success and significance. Plains and Prints is a brand that great creative collaborations have built throughout its 20 years in the Philippine retail fashion industry. For the good part of its two decades, Plains and Prints has partnered with the best and the brightest creative people in the world of fashion, styling, and photography.

On its 20th year, Plains and Prints continues to flourish as it showcases the Photo-Fashion Collection of topnotch photographers Marc Nicdao and Wig Tysmans, in a fusion of photography and fashion that exudes nothing but elegance, style, creativity and inspiration.

Nicdao is equally excited at the thought of seeing his photos on clothes. “I think this collaboration will be magical because that is how I felt when I went to India to take those photos. I have never seen any place like India and I was just awed – by its people, the colors! When I saw the Plains and Prints clothes with my photos, I was transported back to the color and richness of India. It was very surreal,” states Nicdao. “I think it’s a clever and unique idea to immortalize my shots.”

This set is sooo me, so I just had to buy it! So so so pretty. Grabe yung effort ko to get this set. Thanks Ana for going out of your way to pick up the top in Alabang. Hehe. Watch out for my OOTD in Cambodia. I think Angkor Wat might be the perfect place to shoot this. Excited.

Tysmans’ photos are snapshots taken in the late’70s when his children were growing up. Early mornings, he would wake his children up so he could capture the great blue skies around Baguio, including the Baguio Cathedral area. ‘’I was so excited about this type of film that I used, it was called infrared, and it reacted very well when the skies are deep blue,’’ Tysmans recalls. I remember meeting Wig at a shoot for Unionbank, he was so sweet and nice. Love you sir! Hehe.
